Introducing the Bible
An invitation to join our one day seminar at St. Faiths Centre
Manor Road, Horsham St Faith, Norwich, NR10 3LF
Would you like to know more about this ancient book? It is the world’s best seller and owned by millions of people. Why was it written? Is it true? Is there a really good reason to read it?
There have been times when people would risk their lives to have a Bible or listen to it being read. Today, the Bible has never been so accessible and at such little cost. Apart from the printed book form it can be downloaded on to a mobile phone; audio Bibles are available in MP3 format; many English and foreign language translations can be downloaded from the Internet and software for Bible study is often available free of charge.
So why is it not widely read and discussed? Why do so many own a copy but scarcely look at it? Perhaps it is because it is a large book and difficult to understand. It requires some determination to begin reading it and perseverance to continue. However, it claims to be the word of God! If that is true, surely it must be worth the effort!
The Christadelphian's are planning a one day seminar to help you get started. We read the Bible daily, thus completing the whole book once a year. It is the foundation of Christianity. The Old Testament was the source for the teaching of Jesus Christ and his apostles.
